Forest Old Fashioned

An Old Fashioned from the forest, by Huncocktails

Ingredients:

  • 40 ml Kegel Pinecone
  • Teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 2 dashes Orange bitters
  • 20 ml water
  • Dried pinecone

Preparation

Fill a glass with sugar, Angostura bitters, Orange bitters, and water. Stir well. Add the Kegel Pinecone. Stir the whole mixture thoroughly for 20-30 seconds. Place a large ice sphere in a new glass. Pour the mix through a strainer over the ice ball. Pluck some scales from the pinecone. Place these in the cocktail smoker on the glass and burn them until a nice layer of smoke rests on the cocktail. Cheers!

Pinegroni

A twist on the classic Negroni, starring Kegel Gin

Ingredients:

  • 40 ml Kegel Gin
  • 30 ml Red vermouth
  • 30 ml Campari
  • Pine sprig for garnish

Preparation

Fill a glass with ice cubes. Add the KEGEL Gin, red vermouth, and Campari. Stir well for 20-30 seconds to combine the flavors and chill the drink. Garnish with a pine sprig. Cheers!

Pine Gin Fizz

A twist on the classic Gin Fizz, starring the Scots pine

Ingredients:

  • 40 ml Kegel Gin
  • 15 ml Lemon juice
  • 10 ml Pine syrup
  • 50 ml Sparkling water
  • Pine sprig for garnish

Preparation

Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add the gin, lemon juice, and pine syrup. Shake well until everything is thoroughly mixed and chilled. Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling water for a refreshing effect. Garnish with a few pine needles on the rim of the glass.
