FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The gin

What Garnishes Pair Best with Kegel?Toggle

We’ve gone to great lengths to create a gin that you can enjoy both neat and mixed. If you want the juniper’s power to stand out in a mixed drink, add a few (crushed) juniper berries. For a hint of citrus, you could actually head into the forest to pick a sprig of Douglas fir… but a slice of orange works too, of course!

What Tonic is Best to Use?Toggle

We prefer to drink Kegel neat. If you still want to make a Gin & Tonic with it, we recommend the mildest possible tonic, so you can really taste the forest through it. For example, Galvanina Organic Tonic or Naturfrisk Organic Tonic

Where Do the Ingredients Come from?Toggle

All herbs for the recipe come from the forest; we have an organic certification for our own forests on the Veluwe, where we carefully hand-pick them. The main ingredient is the ’empty’ pine cone, after the seeds have been extracted.

What Does your Gin Taste like?Toggle

All herbs come from the forest – and you can taste it! Imagine yourself in a pine forest for a moment. Kegel Zonder is characteristically positioned between jenever and gin. Kegel Met offers an even more intense forest experience.
